Spinner.com Outs Songs With Homosexual Subtexts

Spinner.com writer Sarah Liss came up with a list of 20 songs she says have homosexual subtext. Some seem obvious and are already known gay songs, such as the Village People’s In the Navy or The Village People’s Go West (duh), but others are question marks, such as Tracy Chapman’s Fast Car. Sure, Tracy may be a lesbian, but that song has been analyzed for years and no one has successfully found a homosexual subtext. Liss even gives ‘Rainbow Connection’ odds for some of her picks and doesn’t even give them high marks, meaning it ain’t that gay. Hmmmm.
