Unlike the list of gay-favorites, which was compiled by an Australian website which actually had gay people rank the songs that they picked, the following list of songs favored by many lesbians was ranked by users who voted over the past year. But we’re not done yet – we’ll let you still vote, even though we’re setting in stone the first wave of votes. just for the record, the members of tatu weren’t lesbians lol. they each are married, to men, and one of them has a kid. i wasn’t happy when i heard either, lol. i bought their music souley because i thought they were actually banned from the country that they said they were from for being in love and gay, which i found out wasn’t the case.
First of all, Lena isn’t married. She was engaged. Yulia is married and has two children. And second, Lena has stated many time that she DOES NOT BELIEVE in sexual orientation. She has loved men, she has loved women. She says that they are to talk about love, not orientation. t.A.T.u. was about expression of love, and love being for all, not discriminating because of gender. That a girl could love a girl, a boy could love a boy. Yulia and Lena DID date for a while and ping ponged back and forth between their feelings. They care deeply for each other. Just because they were not in a long term relationship with each other and were not lesbians DOES NOT MEAN they did not also love women. Bisexual describes Yulia as she has stated she is bisexual. In the same interview, Lena stated that she did not believe in sexual orientation.
Yes, Ivan, their original manager wanted the image of two girls in love, but purely as a sexual thing. Ever see how the two act around each other? Not sexual, but loving. They don’t constantly make out. They’re sexually free, but it’s more than that. Yulia and Lena never said they were lesbians. They acted as they were; two girls who shared a strong , passionate, sometimes romantic relationship.
So, no. They didn’t lie. When asked if they were lesbians, they never said “Yes, we are lesbians.” Yulia and Lena only ever said they loved each other. So what? Everyone just needs to label shit. Get your facts straight next time.

We disagree with Fast Car. Chapman has two on the list already and Fast Car, despite being an extraordinary song, is rarely thought of as ‘Lesbian.’
How about the songs ‘She’s so Hard’ and ‘Mace Spray’ by the Jezabels? They’re wonderful and are about a ‘her’. :3
I think that Falling for you by Colbie Caillat should be somewheres on that list. That’s my girlfriend and I’s song, and it can be taken in that type of perspective, and also Songbird that is on Glee. Both are adorable songs and my sweetheart and I’s songs that we sing to one another.
